A Taste of RoseMaharishi Ayurveda Rose Petal Jam Recipes Organic Rose Water has been used for centuries to flavor rice dishes, puddings and sweets from India, China and the Middle East. Due to the Arabic influence, it is also a common ingredient in French glazes, pastries and puddings. Pure rose flavoring adds more than grace and flavor--its sweet, astringent qualities are cooling to hot Pitta dosha, and help balance the emotions. Like the flowers themselves, roses in food express love and elegance.
Rose Petal Cookies
Cream the Ghee and sugar together. Add the Organic Rose Water and flour and mix. Roll into balls the size of a walnut. Place on the cookie sheet and flatten by making an indentation in the center of each ball with your thumb. Add a half teaspoon of Rose Petal Preserve to fill the indentation. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 15 minutes. Rose-Coconut Salad Dressing
Blend all the ingredients together in a blender and serve over vegetable salad. Rose Halva Step One:

In a large saucepan, mix the farina and ghee together and stir on medium heat until light brown spots appear. This usually takes 3-4 minutes. Add sugar and cardamom and stir. Add the water that was set aside and the raisin/cashew mix that was set aside and stir. It's important to keep stirring over medium heat to avoid lumpiness. Stir until the mixture becomes solid, usually about one minute. Step Four:

Blend in blender until frothy.
