Cucumber Salad
Why we love this recipe
Raita (yogurt-cucumber salad) is a classic, cooling condiment in Ayurvedic and Indian cuisine. Creamy yogurt and cucumbers cool the palate, along with fresh mint. Add a dollop to zesty curries and savory dishes. Or, enjoy it by the spoonful as a palate cleanser. Either way, this Ayurvedic cucumber salad makes a welcome addition to any table.
Cucumbers and Ayurveda
Cucumbers are naturally sweet, juicy, and cool by nature, making them very balancing for fiery Pitta dosha. Our Cucumber-Lime in the Summertime drink is another wonderful, cooling recipe that calls for cucumbers. Another great option: our Cucumber-Melon-Mint Smoothie.
