- Key Ingredients
• Sesame oil is a light, warming oil that is easily absorbed to moisturize the epithelial cells.
• Sandalwood, licorice, and vetiver are traditionally used for their cooling and calming properties.
• Shatavari and bael tree (bilva) strengthen and nourish while cinnamon promotes healthy cellular functioning.
Crafted according to the ancient Ayurvedic texts, this special nasya oil is made with a base of nourishing, moisturizing sesame oil and goat’s milk. From there, we’ve added more than 25 therapeutic herbs that hydrate and protect the epithelial cells of the nasal tract while supporting your natural resistance against allergens. This nasya oil is also “tridosha shamak,” which means it balances all three doshas—Ayurvedic mind-body energies (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha).
In Ayurveda, the age-old practice of nasya (lubricating the nasal passages with herbalized oil) supports healthy sinuses and so much more. External prana (life force) flows into the body through the respiratory passages. When your sinuses are clear, they’re better able to receive prana, which in turn helps your mind and intellect stay clear and focused.
I was suffering with a terrible sinus infection for six months. I tried everything. I eat/live according to Ayurveda, I received acupuncture, I’d tried other herbs with no results. I think it started due to mold exposure at work. What matters is that within one application of this oil I felt better the following morning. Within days I could breathe normally. Outstanding
Sometimes I suffer from upper respiratory congestion and nasty coughs. This oil taken twice daily at the first sign of the problem seems to prevent the infection from taking hold in my lungs. What has been a 3 week illness this winter was stopped in its tracks for me in just a day or two. I will always keep a bottle in my medicine cabinet.
I've tried different nasya oils and this made me feel the most alert and grounded. The Maharshi Ayurveda products just seem to be more refined and work on a subtler level
