Pure Indian Foods Triphala Ghee

$21.99 5.3 oz

Enjoy handmade, small-batch, cultured ghee infused with three synergistic fruits—amla, bibhitaki, and haritaki (triphala)—traditionally used to support healthy vision.

This award-winning, nourishing ghee herbal preparation—siddha ghritam—is infused with amla, bibhitaki, and haritaki (triphala). This antioxidant-rich formula:

• Has been traditionally used in Ayurveda as an eyesight strengthening tonic, an immune-system booster, and a powerful digestive cleansing aid.
• Is purposefully paired together; the nutritive qualities of the herb and ghee are amplified; the ghee acts as a carrier taking the herb into the tissues.
• Helps to preserve the herb; the ghee helps protect its volatile oils.

Tridoshic: Balances Vata, Pitta, and Kapha

Grass-fed organic cultured ghee, organic amla fruit (Emblica officinalis), organic bibhitaki fruit (Terminalia bellirica), organic haritaki fruit (Terminalia chebula).

Adults stir 1 teaspoon into warm water, up to 2 times per day, or take as directed by your Ayurvedic practitioner. This herbal preparation is meant to be taken as a dietary formula, not for use in cooking applications.

What makes Pure Indian ghee unique? The quality of the ingredients, and processing methods. This certified organic, pasture-raised, and grass-fed ghee follows a traditional culturing process to enhance its digestibility. Before being churned into butter and clarified to produce ghee, the cream is fermented into yogurt.

It’s then batch-tested to contain no more than 0.25% lactose, less than 2.5ppm milk proteins (casein and whey), making it a great choice for those sensitive to dairy. It’s also batch-tested gluten free.

For over 120 years, the Agarwal family has been producing traditionally made, small-batch organic ghee products focused on quality, not quantity. Run by a husband-and-wife team, Pure Indian Foods is a family legacy the owners hope to pass onto future generations. Their mission is to create traditionally prepared, healthful ghee products that elevate ghee to the same sacred superfood status in the US that it has enjoyed in Ayurveda for thousands of years.

Pure Indian Foods partners with small family farms in the northeastern US as part of their vision to support sustainable, local businesses that prioritize both the people and the planet. All Pure Indian Foods’ cultured butter undergoes lab testing to ensure very low levels of lactose, casein, and whey, and is batch tested to be gluten-free.
