Emily was born into a family of meditators well-versed in Ayurveda. She attended college in New York and went on to manage recruiting teams at top-tier global investment banks and consulting firms. In time, the fast-paced lifestyle began to take its toll; she started experiencing burnout. Needing to recharge, she began incorporating Ayurvedic practices back into her daily routine—and, most importantly, she started meditating regularly again. “That was the game-changer for me,” says Emily. “It was a lightbulb moment where I realized I had lost touch with my innermost self and was completely caught up in the world around me. Transcendental Meditation brought me back home.” After more than a decade climbing the corporate ladder, Emily made the 180 switch and flew to Thailand to complete 6 months of training to become a TM teacher. She later added Ayurvedic Practitioner to her skill set to help clients maintain balance through diet and herbs as well.
Q&A WITH EMILIY
“There is no joy in smallness. Joy is in the infinite.”— Chandyoga Upanishad 7.23
Making art is a passion of mine, and I love sitting down to paint whenever I can.
“Happiness radiates like the fragrance from a flower and draws all things toward you. Allow your love to nourish yourself as well as others. Do not strain after the needs of life. It is sufficient to be quietly alert and aware of them. In this way life proceeds more naturally and effortlessly. Life is here to enjoy!”— –Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

Sometimes I wish I could duplicate myself to be everywhere at once to offer TM and Ayurveda to everywhere it’s needed!

My ultimate motivation is complete unity with the Self. Unifying my experience of small self and higher self is what drives me, and this has shown up in different ways in my life, often through art, meditation, lifestyle, learning or connection with others.
I’ve been a TM teacher for about 3.5 years and by the end of 2022 I will have taught over 1000 people to meditate! Through TM and consciousness-based Ayurveda, inner intelligence is enlivened and balance is restored so that wholeness and fullness of life can be achieved.
