Lavender Tea
Makes 1 cup of tea
1 cup hot water
2-4 teaspoons organic food-grade dried lavender buds
Optional: honey to taste
Directions
- Bring water to a boil. Place lavender buds in a teapot or a sachet.
- Once the water has boiled, pour it over the lavender and let it steep for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the lavender and pour into your favorite mug to enjoy before bed!
- Optional: once the tea has cooled slightly, (warm, but not hot to the touch), stir in the honey*.
*According to Ayurveda, heating honey to high temperatures renders it toxic. Add honey only after your beverage has come down to a comfortable drinking temperature.
